Welcome to Encounter Church! We are so excited for you to meet our church family and encounter God in your own life.
We meet together for worship on Sundays at 10:15 AM, with Christian education starting at 9 AM.
We also meet on Wednesday nights at 7 PM.

The layered arrows concept highlights the three ‘points’ of the Encounter Church philosophy. Encounter God, Connect With Others, and Transform the world. It suggests a perpetual motion of moving outward - reaching to encounter God, followed by an outward and upward strive to connect with others, and finally a push to launch into transforming the world.
The subtle house shape lends itself to imagery of Encounter as God’s home - which is filled with disciples following His call to the threefold mission of EC: to encounter, connect, and transform.
OUR HISTORY
Encounter Church was planted as the first Home Missions Church of the Michigan District of the Assemblies of God in 1946. We have always believed that God moves powerfully and supernaturally in the lives of His Church. We are rooted in God's Word and are eager for people to know Him as a loving, powerful savior and friend.
We look forward with great anticipation to what Jesus will do through the church He raised up so many years ago. Please join us on this exciting journey together!
